ElderCare Consultants is an Aging Life Care service provider based out of the Greater Memphis area. We provide service for North Mississippi, West Tennessee, and East Arkansas. Founded by Rena Rosenberg, ElderCare Consultants strives to provide the best care possible and believes life-span care, is a holistic, client-centered approach to caring for older adults or others facing ongoing health, financial, environmental, legal, and housing challenges.
Meet the Team
Rena Rosenberg, MS, NCC, NCGC is the Owner and Founder of ElderCare Consultants, LLC in Memphis, TN. ElderCare Consultants has been providing Aging Life Care Services (formerly Geriatric Care Management) to seniors and families in the Memphis and surrounding areas for over 20 years. Rena has 29 years of experience in dealing issues relating to the care and treatment of the elderly and those with disabilities. She is an Aging Life Care Professional who specializes in providing direct services to older adults, individuals with a disability, families, and individuals throughout their lifespan.
She has developed and facilitated caregiver support groups for Memphis area nursing homes and the Alzheimer's Association. Rena has conducted gerontological research and has presented her findings to the professional community. She also does speaking engagements for those caring for the Aging, preparing and planning for Care, and many other topics regarding Care for the Elderly and those with Disabilities. She is a Member of the Aging Life Care Association (formerly the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers), the Association for Adult Development and Aging, and the American Counseling Association. She is a member of the Conservatorship Association of Tennessee. Locally, she serves on the Advisory Council of the Aging Commission of the Mid-South and is a member of the Memphis/Shelby County Professional Network on Aging. She also speaks on many other life care topics related to the workplace, stress management, effective communication, coping with change, and many others.
Rena has a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, a Masters Degree in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Memphis, and Post-Graduate Hours from the University of Memphis in Gerontological and Mental Health Counseling. She is a National Certified Gerontological Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor. She is also a Certified Fair Housing Coordinator.
Rena is a native Memphian. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, and is a sports enthusiast, especially her hometown University of Memphis Tigers.
Jennifer Sharp has been Partner and Financial Officer of ElderCare Consultants, LLC since 2000. She has over 25 years of experience in working as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer in the fields of Case Management and Aging Life Care. Her financial skills and attention to detail are instrumental in working with our clients and families. She serves as an Aging Life Care Professional, Daily Money Manager, Power of Attorney, and Conservator for our clients.
Jennifer is a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers, the Conservatorship Association of Tennessee, the Professional Network on Aging and participates with the Aging Commission of the Mid-South.
When Jennifer is not working, she spends time with her two children, three dogs, two horses, and one ferret. She enjoys reading, music, and traveling.
Janet Rubin, LMSW, is a Licensed Master of Social Work. Janet holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Arts in Jewish Communal Service from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She is an Aging Life Care Professional, and her career spans a variety of social work and geriatric care management environments. She originally joined ElderCare Consultants in 2010. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Along with serving as an Aging Life Care Professional, she serves as Power of Attorney and has been appointed as a Conservator for many clients.
Janet has a passion for connecting people to resources, as well as connecting people to each other. She is an advocate and liaison for those who have no-one else to speak on their behalf. Janet is married with two children and is dedicated to her family, faith, friends, and community.
Jessica Hyte, MS has a Masters in Gerontology from Concordia University Nebraska and is an Aging Life Care Professional with ElderCare Consultants, LLC serving the Northern Mississippi and West Tennessee areas. She serves as Care Manager, Power of Attorney, and Conservator to a variety of clients.
Jessica has 10 years of experience in the aging life care field, including Care Management, Advocacy, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care, Mental Health, Traumatic Brain Injury, Life Skills Training, and Life Enrichment. She has had a well rounded career as the Program Manager of a dementia care community, Case Manager for mental health care recipients, and a Life Skills Trainer for traumatic brain injury survivors.
Jessica has a passion for providing individuals with person centered care, ensuring each person has a care plan dedicated to their needs and desires while navigating their healthcare. She is a member of the Professional Network on Aging for Memphis/Shelby County and a Professional Member of the Aging Life Care Association.
Jessica is married and lives in Hernando, MS. She and her husband are proud parents of their daughter, who is the “light of their life”.
Mindy Rich, BS, is a Care Associate with ElderCare Consultants. Mindy has a Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas. She retired from APL Logistics in 2012 where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. While working, and after retirement, Mindy was the primary caregiver for family members, and helped to oversee care for a lifelong friend and her family.
Mindy was able to coordinate the care and services that were needed for these individuals during challenging times. She continues to show that same level of compassion and oversight to ElderCare clients and families.
Mindy and her husband have been married for 39 years. They have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. She is an avid gardener with a green thumb for making flowers bloom and bringing smiles to others.
Monica Parson has a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Management from Bethel University. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from the University of Memphis. She serves as a Care Associate and Office Manager for ElderCare Consultants.
Monica has over 6 years in the Senior Living Industry, including experience in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care. She also has a well-rounded administrative career in the senior living community environment.
Monica’s organizational skills, attention to detail, along with her passion to help others, result in the perfect combination to assist and advocate for ElderCare clients and families.
Monica is a native Memphian, and is newly married. She enjoys traveling, shopping, and being a dog mom.
